Who we are

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us through the forms on this site:

Listing alerts: name, email, optional phone, price range, property type and timeline.
Home value requests: property address or area, property type, timing, name, email, optional phone and any notes you add.
Field Guide requests: first name and email.
Contact form: name, email, optional phone, your interest and your message.

The calculators, quiz and ski access tool run in your browser. The numbers you type into them are not sent to us or stored. If you use the season toggle, your choice may be saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it; it never leaves your device.

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies.

How we use it

To reply to you and provide the service you asked for: listing alerts, a price opinion, the guide or an answer to your question.
To follow up about real estate services, which you can stop at any time.

We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only as needed to provide the service (see below), or when required by law. Real estate records may also be kept as required by BC real estate regulations.

Service providers

Form submissions are processed by Formspree, which delivers them to Sean by email. Formspree may store submissions on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where they may be accessible under local law. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

By submitting a form, you consent to being contacted by Sean Phillips about real estate. You can withdraw consent, unsubscribe from alerts or ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing chaletsean@gmail.com. Commercial emails comply with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and include a way to unsubscribe.

Access, correction and retention

Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and BC’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. We keep form submissions only as long as needed for the purpose you gave them, or as required by law, and then delete them.

Security

The site uses HTTPS, and forms are sent over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send sensitive financial or identity information through the forms.

Changes
