The latest published market figures for the region, what they do and don’t tell you about SilverStar, and a year of resort news that matters to owners. Updated September 2026.

Market snapshot: July 2026 (latest published)
The Association of Interior REALTORS® (AIR) covers a large region that includes the North Okanagan. Its July 2026 report, the most recent available when this page was updated, shows:
- 1,496residential sales across the AIR region, down 2.2% year over year
- 2,569new listings, down 12.1%
- 9,630active listings, down 7.8%
- $316,200North Okanagan condo benchmark price, down 0.4%
The townhome benchmark rose in every sub-region except the Central Okanagan. AIR president Ryan Mayne said sales were “tracking closely to the pace established during the same month last year.”

What this means for SilverStar
Regional benchmarks are a weather report for the valley, not a price for your chalet. No real estate board publishes SilverStar-only prices, and the resort’s mix of hotel condos, strata townhomes, heritage chalets and newer custom homes means a single average would mislead more than it helps. A few things we can say with confidence:
- Fewer new listings. New listings across the region were down 12.1%, so buyers have somewhat less to choose from than a year ago.
- Condo prices flat. The North Okanagan condo benchmark barely moved. Mountain condos have their own drivers (rental rules, ski access), but the valley trend suggests a stable backdrop.
- Resort changes. New ownership under Pacific Group Resorts, the Ikon Pass from 2026–27 and discount ticket programs could bring more visitors, which matters to rental owners. It’s too early to measure any effect on prices.
- Snow matters. The 2025–26 season was thin, and the resort tested snowmaking equipment. Buyers ask about it; a snowmaking investment would be significant news for owners.

SilverStar news, November 2025 to September 2026
Early-bird passes and the My1 pass
Early-bird winter passes and a 4Pack deal (fifth day free) ran until Sept. 30. The My1 season pass covers seven activities: alpine, Nordic, snowshoeing, night skiing, skating, fat biking and tubing.
Crankworx comes to SilverStar
The Crankworx World Tour mountain bike festival ran at SilverStar from Aug. 6 to 9, a sign of how big the summer season has become.
Wine Fest on the mountain
SilverStar hosted a summer wine festival in July.
Summer carnival for the Vernon Jubilee ER
A free summer carnival with gondola rides raised money for the emergency department at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, the nearest hospital to the resort.
Pedalfest adds men’s and women’s enduro
The North Okanagan Cycling Society’s Pedalfest enduro, held July 11, expanded to include both men’s and women’s racing.
Dark Horse rides into SilverStar
Casey Brown’s elite women’s mountain bike camp and invitational ran from June 27 to July 2.
SilverStar joins the Ikon Pass
SilverStar is on the Ikon Pass for 2026–27: seven days with no blackouts on the Ikon Pass, five days with blackouts on Ikon Base.
SEISMIC Spring Mountain Festival
A ten-day free festival of sports, music, arts and food ran in late March.
“Mission Affordable” tickets
SilverStar adopted Pacific Group Resorts’ discounted lift ticket program, with midweek adult tickets from $115.
Snowmaking tested at Putnam Creek
After a low-snow start to the season, the resort tested snowmaking equipment from three manufacturers at Putnam Creek.
Water advisory lifted after main break
A water main broke on Silver Queen Road on Jan. 25. RDNO and Interior Health issued a water quality advisory for nearby residents, lifted by Jan. 28.
SilverStar sold to Pacific Group Resorts
POWDR sold SilverStar to Pacific Group Resorts of Park City, Utah, which called it its flagship. General manager Herwig Demschar stayed on, with no operational changes for 2025–26.
Also worth watching
The RDNO gave first reading to Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 3049, 2025, for 9190 Silver Star Road in Electoral Area C, on the road below the resort (RDNO notice). Rezonings along the road can change what’s nearby, so it’s worth following if you own on Silver Star Road.
